Three cheers for Gisela Stuart MP. It is ironic that the MP leading the fight to get a truly British Film Industry with infrastructure spread across The UK was born in Germany. Maybe this helps her see beyond The South East Only club. Save the British Film Industry salute her strong political lead.  Gisela Stuart has campaigned hard for Birmingham and to create jobs for highly skilled workers now jobless. Save The British Film Industry continues to salute Adrian Goldberg of TalkSport and The Stirrer for his sterling campaign to get this expansion built in the centre of the country as a first major step to get a 15 acre minimum site in every county in Britain, preferably each under The Pinewood Studios global brand.

This can make Pinewood Studios as vital and beloved to every part of The UK as The NHS.  It can open up access to everyone in the UK who wishes to invest time and money in the industry.  It will encourage many more small, medium and even the largest businesses to consider investment in the industry. To most businessmen, it is a mystery world which may as well be on Mars. Upon their doorstep, it becomes comfortable, understandable and investable.

As smart businessmen (who understand construction and bricks, understand design. manufacture, marketing, sales and distribution) start to see the parallels with their expertise, so they will enter the industry with their finance and skill.

It can release creative skill and turbo charge education across The UK. It can provide inspiration and hope.

They provide inspiration. Simon Cowell claims he was inspired to enter showbiz by Elstree Studios being near his home.

Why 15 acres in every county ? Because Star Wars and Indiana Jones were made on a 15 acre film factory site. No-one can ever again complain that they have not the tools to succeed locally.

It can secure Pinewood Shepperton PLC far greater international investment as they have far more sound stage and post-production infrastructure and capacity linked to many more sets including perhaps The Pyramids, sci-fi, and every location in The UK.

It can secure huge public purse finance if in the future they ever have a bad trading year or two in a cyclical industry.  The more like The NHS it is, the more available and accessible, the more the  public goodwill and political need to keep it alive until the good years return. Even Simon Cowell, a creative and business genius had a few bad business years after huge initial succcess. Years when he needed to be helped financially to get through. Pinewood Studios need much broader support across Britain in case they are ever in the same boat. Moving the expansion to The West Midlands is the first part of this process.

Eventually Pinewood Shepperton Board LC will just see it, we are their greatest friends.
