Birmingham Gisela Stuart Labour MP for Edgbaston and Richard Burden Labour MP for Northfield both press the case for Longbridge as an ideal reserve choice if Pinewood Studios are knocked back on October 21 having spent £6 million on a planning application to build Venice, Paris, Amsterdam, Rome, New York, New Orleans etc where people just do not want it down in South Bucks.
Michael Fabricant Conservative MP for Lichfield and John Hemming Liberal Democrat have also been supporters of the relocation of Pinewood Studios expansion to The West Midlands if it is going begging for a home. Other Labour MPs such as Bruce George, David Winnick, Ken Purchase have expressed support even before it became the popular thing to do.
Save The British Film Industry.com express gratitude to The Sunday Mercury, and especially Tony Larner and Jonny Greatrex for accurately informing the public of the present state of play. If Pinewood Studios is knocked back on October 21, then by then The NEC, Longbridge groups, Birmingham Airport, West Midland Chambers of Commerce , West Midland Universities and Colleges, Council Leaders have no excuse not to be briefed and ready to nip in to get this huge number of jobs, international prestige, National Screen Craft Academy and infrastructure secured in the Heart of England. From here in future years it can expand out around the UK to keep this nation as global leader in film manufacturing with the greatest state-of-the-art physical factory infrastructure.
As always huge thanks to Adrian Goldberg and The Stirrer for campaigning to get jobs and creative industries into the centre of The UK see http://www.thestirrer.co.uk/big-screen-big-dream-0810091.html
