Oh if only he was focused on the film industry. He would grasp in seconds that it is all about sound stages and physical infrastructure if you want regular massive inward investment and not an erratic sporadic industry.

Sir Jonathan Ives deserves huge recognition for his fantastic contribution to modern life.
It is interesting that it comes 60 years after the first TV remote control was invented and only 18 years after the internet got going, and only 25 years after the first (super heavy giant) mobile phones.
The prophet Daniel 2500 years ago predicted the rise and fall of Babylon, Persia, Alexander The Great, the four way battle for his empire after his death, the rise of the Roman Empire, which he prophecied would fall but eventually be reborn as an empire of iron mixed with clay. So maybe as strong as Rome but also very bureaucratic and seemingly shaky at the foundations.
Daniel predicted towards the period when the world was coming to a huge global crisis, very very long after he was prophecying, that knowledge would increase rapidly and so would mass rapid travel of people around the globe.

So give praise, thanks and honour to God that He is blessing the present generation with technology, medical advance, cheap and fast travel which previous generations could not even imagine.
Lord Jesus Christ created the world thousands of years before He entered it in Mary’s womb in Nazareth to be the Sacrificial Lamb for its sins and sickness. The film and art industries can survive and flourish without public money, but the police really need it.This is where public taxes should be spent.
The reason this government is so dim about the police is that West London and Central London have such outstanding manpower (including massive military power) in Buckingham Palace, the Royal Parks, Whitehall and Westminster. Government ministers have tremendous police protection. Some ex-ministers have six police officers for life to protect them.Some have police officers helping with their shopping and dry cleaning. Officers outside Parliament know what is going on but are bewildered the MPs, ministers, Westminster luvvies they guard just do not have a clue.
The Olympics will suck in police resources from across the UK to protect the prestige of a West London political elite.
This type of protection we do not despise. But we want it for everybody.
A safe society will see businesses flourish.We can have it if we stop wasting public money on things it was never spent on prior to the 80s and 90s.
A frightened society will become cruel and poor.We want a well staffed, high morale police force.
So please pray for and support the police today on May 10 and follow up. Lobby MPs, write letters, get on radio phone ins, phone up local and national AND international newspapers and TV companies. Get the US press interested. Get the French and German press. Get RTV News interested. This Government hates to be shamed in international media because they see the government jobs as part of their social life. They hate to be ridiculed and embarassed at parties. The Government can back down on police cuts with a big concerted push.

Truly The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (renamed Israel) deserves praise. It would be great if people would praise Him everytime they see or hear anything about The Olympics and especially if they see the torch.
