If there has to be cuts, if we can no longer afford what we used to afford from the public purse, then these cuts should focus on axing sinecures for failed politicians and former ministers.
The ASA must now be classed in the category of something we can not afford, and must do without.
It clearly has so little real vital work to do (compared to the police) that it can find the time and public money to persecute Christians and bully anyone with any Judeo-Christian morality.

The ASA website is extremely detailed, but just try and find the ASA annual budget clearly listed on it. A very very hard find indeed. It seems shy to mention how very many of your millions it is greedily taking each year. Not keen on letting you know the vast salaries and expenses it pays.
The founders of the ASA 50 years ago would be rolling in their graves. But the ASA is not alone and nor is it the worst offender. Brandname trusted organisations, quangos and charities built often over generations by good moral people regularly get infiltrated at the top by amoral cultural marxists and greedy people in Britain. Little hinges control big doors.
As far back as 1923 Marxists formally met and skillfully planned how to destroy Judeo-Christian morality in the west, especially Britain and the USA by infiltration of key organisations. The plans were regularly thwarted but became ever more refined and ever better resourced. By this time the Berlin Wall fell a generation of new Cambridge spies had been recruited and positioned to reach the levers of power in Britain. Change the very few people who control the hinges and you can control the biggest doors. This has now happened.
The central idea from 1923 onwards was to spread fear, to terrorise people, so that they were afraid to have any coversation or make any individual free choice. The aim was by terror and oppression to change their speech and thought patterns by enforcing the idea that vocalising your beliefs is disrespectful to others, dangerous to society and must be criminalised. People must be brainwashed to believe expressing beliefs must be avoided to make up for past (often imaginary) injustices by previous generations.
A big part of the reason this failed to take hold for at least 50 years was the antidote of magnificent films and the values their stories supplied.
The Chinese Foreign Minister is utterly accurate in asserting that films are ’soft power’ in war and foreign policy.
Turning specifically to Chris Smith, he should resign from the ASA and every public office after the disgraceful ASA attack on Cranmer and The Christian Churches seeking to defend the beliefs laid out in their Holy Book from their Holy God, which have held sway in this nation for nearly 2000 years. Smith took on the role of leadership, so he should take responsibility for its actions.
Chris Smith was a hopeless Culture, Media and Sport minister and possibly the worst of them all. Given the names on this list, it is some achievement.
Further, his report about the UK film industry delivered in January was clueless and another waste of public money.
We could have 250 000 people across the UK working in the film industry within five years and bringing £25 billion a year into the UK, but not while Smithie and Co are still being paid to advise the Government.
We need sound stages, glorified warehouses around the UK in every region (even every town). These are the essential building blocks of a film industry which attracts inward investment and releases creative talent to meet consumer needs (for which they will pay).
In fact very many know this and work overtime to ensure these sound stages do not get built outside the tiny places they presently exist as the real agenda is to keep the film industry in Britain extremely small (while publically professing 180 degrees opposite agenda).
The agenda is to try to prevent many who might make magnificent films supporting the views of say Cranmer as opposed to the agenda of say Chris Smith.

Please pray Cranmer and others have the grace to forgive and bless the henchmen thugs at the ASA.
But it is also clear in the present economic climate that Smith’s sinecures should go and go now. The ASA should be axed immediately.
The public money saved should be given to the police to retain as many frontline officers as possible.
If we can not afford the police, we certainly can not afford the ASA.

The Avengers is a great movie, will now beat £1.5 billion at the box office, but they will not be there in real life. Nor will The ASA or if people try to rob you in the street, steal your car, break into your home. The police will be there if we devote public taxes to their upkeep.
Public expenditure must now be cut in the UK and in many areas it should be BUT there is one absolute exception.
Cuts of 20% of UK frontline police is massive and will affect people all over the UK – although the Westminster village will still probably get an increase not decrease in police resources.
Save The British Film Industry does not oppose all public spending cuts, indeed we encourage cuts in the film and arts quangos and their croney bureaucracies (which to repeat shore up corrupt croneyism and limit access of most people in the UK to enter the film industry) and we only approve of public spending (especially ring fenced Lottery Money) on physical infrastructure in film making (sound stages, sets, essential equipment) in every region of the UK . The film industry and most arts -if the physical infrastructure is there- will generate and magnetise inward investment and private patronage either seeking profit or kudos/glory.
However, vital public services should be fully financed by the public purse. The police are top of the list. Their budget and manpower should be increased in 2012 and not reduced by 20%.

it is the media battle which will be decisive in pressurising a bunch of inept politicians to do the right thing.
Police budgets and police numbers should be increased and not decreased.
Police keep people safe. The only people who want police cuts are criminals.
A frightened society will become cruel and poor.We want a well staffed, high morale police force.
So please pray for and support the police today. Lobby MPs, write letters, get on radio phone ins, phone up local and national AND international newspapers and TV companies. Get the US press interested. Get the French and German press. Get RTV News interested. This Government hates to be shamed in international media because they see the government jobs as part of their social life. They hate to be ridiculed and embarassed at parties. The Government can back down on police cuts with a big concerted push.
Please plead the Divine Protection of The Blood of Lord Jesus Christ over your local police, your family and home, and theirs. please pray the Government leaders and ministers show wisdom and steward their immense resources wisely.

The police, fire fighters, doctors, nurses, ambulance staff, disabled care workers should not be cut. They are real public services.
